Bar manager Ben Kozloff sought the oldest recipes for his drinks. His Sidecar is based on the recipe from the Ritz Paris during World War I.

  • SERVINGS: 1 drink

Ingredients

  1. Ice
  2. 1 1/2 ounces Cognac
  3. 1 ounce Cointreau or other triple sec
  4. 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice

Directions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the remaining ingredients and shake well. Strain into a chilled martini glass.
