Sicilian Vesper

  • SERVINGS: makes 1 drink

Vesper refers to the period when late afternoon segues into early evening, the typical time for an aperitif. Marsala wine, which comes from Sicily, gives the drink a dry, nutty quality.

  1. Ice
  2. 2 ounces dry Marsala
  3. 1/2 ounce Poire Williams
  4. 1/4 ounce cream sherry
  5. Dash of Angostura bitters
  1. Fill a pint glass with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients and stir well, then strain into a chilled coupe.
