This smoky cocktail is a nod to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's fictitious British detective, whose favorite tea was purportedly Lapsang souchong.

  1. Ice
  2. 1 1/2 ounces single-malt Scotch, preferably Laphroaig
  3. 2 ounces chilled brewed Lapsang souchong tea
  4. 1 ounce Honey Syrup
  5. 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients and stir well. Double strain into a chilled coupe.
