- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 pound green cabbage, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
- Kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
How to make this recipe
Cook the butter in a medium heavy skillet over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until it turns golden and nutty and the flecks on the bottom of the pan turn a rich caramel brown, about 6 minutes.
Add the cabbage and cook, stirring occasionally, until wilted and crisp-tender, 5 to 8 minutes.
Stir in the poppy seeds and season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a bowl and serve immediately.
