Santa’s Little Helper

Mixing cocktails one by one is exceedingly impractical at a big party. Instead, F&W’s Nick Fauchald suggests these pitcher drinks.

Ingredients

  1. One 750-ml bottle Zinfandel
  2. 1 cup apple brandy
  3. 1 cup fresh orange juice
  4. 1/2 cup simple syrup (1/2 cup sugar dissolved in 1/2 cup simmering water)
  5. 1/4 cup cinnamon schnapps
  6. Ice
  7. Orange wheels, for garnish

Directions

  1. In a pitcher, combine the wine, brandy, orange juice, simple syrup and schnapps. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours. Stir and pour into 10 ice-filled rocks glasses. Garnish each drink with an orange wheel.
