Mixologist and former molecular biologist Eben Klemm says, "I wanted to create a drink that achieved complexity not with weird ingredients but through the interplay between simple ones"—thyme, cranberries, apple juice and gin.

  1. Ice
  2. 2 ounces gin
  3. 1 ounce chilled apple juice
  4. 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  5. 3/4 ounce Simple Syrup
  6. 1 thyme sprig,
  7. 3 cranberries skewered on a pick
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the gin, apple and lemon juices and Simple Syrup. Shake well; strain into an ice-filled highball glass. Garnish with the thyme and cranberries.
