- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped candied grapefruit peel
- 1 unpeeled red grapefruit wedge, plus 1/4 red grapefruit, peeled and cut into
- 2 ounces vodka
- 1/2 ounce Cointreau or other triple sec
- 3 1/2 ounces chilled Champagne
How to make this recipe
Mix the sugar with the candied grapefruit peel. Moisten the outer rim of a martini glass with the grapefruit wedge and coat lightly with the candied-grapefruit sugar.
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the grapefruit pieces. Add ice and the vodka and Cointreau and shake well. Strain into the prepared martini glass and top with the Champagne.
