This is simply a Jack Rose made with Calvados. According to Jackson Cannon, its apple flavor is far more concentrated: “In that first cold snap of fall when we’ve broken out our sweaters, the lush apple flavors of this version seem just right.”

- Ice
- 2 ounces Calvados
- 3/4 ounce grenadine, preferably homemade
- 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
- Dash of Peychaud’s bitters
- 1 lemon twist, for garnish
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the garnish and shake well. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with the lemon twist.
