In this gin cocktail recipe, mixologist Patricia Richards creates a lighter, grapefruit-spiked take on the Negroni, which is sweetened with agave nectar.

  1. 1 1/2 ounces dry vermouth
  2. 1 ounce aperol
  3. 3/4 ounce London dry gin
  4. 1 1/2 ounces fresh Ruby Red grapefruit juice
  5. 1/4 ounce agave nectar
  6. Ice
  7. 1/4 Ruby Red grapefruit wheel, for garnish
  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine all of the ingredients except ice and the garnish. Fill the shaker with ice and shake briefly. Strain into a chilled ice-filled double rocks glass and garnish with the grapefruit wheel.
