Zeppelin, Manhattan

The original Presbyterian was probably a mocktail, suitable for abstemious churchgoers, that combined ginger ale and club soda to look like a highball (minus the whiskey). Zeppelin owners Jason Kosmas and Dushan Zaric spice up the recipe with a savory house-made ginger beer.

  1. 12 ounces rye whiskey
  2. 6 ounces Ginger-Mint Syrup
  3. 4 1/2 ounces fresh lime juice
  4. 18 thin lime wheels
  5. Ice
  6. 12 ounces chilled club soda
  7. 6 mint sprigs
  1. In a pitcher, combine the rye, Ginger-Mint Syrup and lime juice; refrigerate until chilled, at least 1 hour. Press 3 lime wheels on the inside of each of 6 collins glasses and fill with ice. Stir the club soda into the pitcher, then pour into the prepared glasses. Garnish with the mint.
