Pompier is a twist on a cocktail found in Charles H. Baker, Jr.'s 1937 classic, The Gentleman's Companion. It substitutes Lillet Blanc for the dry vermouth and gin for the club soda.

- Ice
- 1 1/2 ounces Lillet Blanc
- 1 1/2 ounces Crème de Cassis (black currant liqueur)
- 1 ounce gin
- 1 lemon twist
Directions
- Fill a pint glass with ice. Add the Lillet, crème de cassis and gin. Stir well and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with the lemon twist.
