"It's wise and socially responsible to offer one's guests a nonalcoholic drink option," says mixologist Duggan McDonnell. "I want to offer mine something in addition to Diet Coke and Perrier."

  1. Ice
  2. 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
  3. 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  4. 1 ounce Simple Syrup
  5. 1/2 ounce chilled club soda
  6. 1 ounce chilled sparkling cider
  7. 1 apple slice
  8. 1 lemon twist
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the citrus juices and Simple Syrup. Shake well and strain into an ice-filled highball glass. Top with the soda, then the cider; garnish with the apple and the twist.
