Pears and Roasted Nuts


  1. 1 cup unshelled mixed nuts such as walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, or almonds
  2. 1 small ripe Anjou or Bosc pear
  1. Preheat the over to 375°. Spread the unshelled nuts on a cookie sheet and roast for 20 minutes. Remove and let cook for at least 30 minutes.
  2. At serving time, arrange the nuts (after first cracking the shells a little, if you desire) in a basket and place in the center of the table with a nutcracker. Serve with the pear.
