Pan Americano
- SERVINGS: Makes 1 drink
In a quest to create a drink using Peruvian pisco, Francesco Lafranconi ultimately settled on this unusual concoction. The Chartreuse-Aperol-grapefruit combination lingers for several minutes—an especially complex finish for an aperitif.
- Ice
- 2 ounces chilled Sauvignon Blanc or other crisp white wine
- 3/4 ounce pisco
- 3/4 ounce Aperol (bitter orange Italian aperitif)
- 1 ounce chilled club soda
- One 2-inch strip of Ruby Red grapefruit zest, for garnish
- 3/4 ounce yellow Chartreuse
- Fill a white wine glass with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the garnish and stir well. Garnish with the grapefruit zest.
