How to Make Brown Sugar

Ingredients

  • 1 lemon wedge
  • Superfine sugar
  • Ice
  • 1 1/2 ounces Cognac
  • 1/2 ounce Cointreau or other triple sec
  • 1/2 ounce Bénédictine (brandy-based herbal liqueur)
  • 1/2 ounce Poire William or other pear brandy
  • 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1 lemon twist

How to make this recipe

  1. Moisten half of the outer rim of a martini glass with the lemon wedge and coat lightly with superfine sugar. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the Cognac, Cointreau, Bénédictine, Poire William and lemon juice and shake well. Strain into the prepared martini glass and garnish with the lemon twist.
