The bracing thyme, lemon and orange aromas in this drink remind Francesco Lafranconi of the mistral that blows through southern France, sending the scent of wild herbs and flowers across the countryside.
- 2 dashes of Peychaud's bitters
- 1/2 ounce Dubonnet blanc
- 1 orange twist
- 1/2 ounce limoncello
- 1/2 ounce Galliano (Italian herbal liqueur)
- 1 lemon twist and 1 thyme sprig, for garnish
- Ice
- 1 1/2 ounces lemon vodka
- In a pint glass, muddle the orange twist. Add ice and all of the remaining ingredients except the lemon twist and thyme sprig and stir well. Strain the drink into a chilled coupe or martini glass and garnish with the lemon twist and thyme sprig.
