Reviews for Mini Black-Bottom Cheesecakes

Go back to recipe

So easy, very pretty too. I use creme fraiche in place of fromage blanc. To the person who asked about oreos - I can never find oreo wafers without cream, so I buy regular oreos, then open them - twisting. I scrape off the cream with a steak knife. It works fine, and is pretty easy.

Just ok to be quite honest! Won't make again.

These were so easy and very tasty. I had to use chocolate "Teddy Grahams" because I couldn't find the Nabisco wafers. It still turned out delicious.

I absolutely love this recipe! Perfect balance between sweet and tang. I followed the recipe exactly and it worked out great. I brought them to work and everyone went crazy. I will definitely make these again.

Do you use 24 whole Oreos, or 24 halves with filling removed (12 Oreos)?

These cheesecakes were simple to make and had a lighter taste than your typical cheesecake. You'd have to use more cookie than the recipe calls for to get it to look like the photo, but even my flatter ones still looked nicely layered. I write about my experience making them at my blogspot blog Adventurous Tastes.

I used creme fraiche instead of fromage blanc, and they turned out great.  This is a very easy quick recipe, but is very impressive to your guests.

My cheesecakes were flatter than the picture, but good, and easy to make.  I used sour cream instead of fromage blanc, and 12 Oreos for the wafer cookies.  Didn't care for the raspberry topping.  Would make again, experimenting with different flavor combinations.
