  • Ice
  • 2 ounces rye whiskey
  • 1 ounce sweet vermouth
  • 3/4 ounce ruby port
  • 1/4 ounce Meletti amaro (bittersweet Italian liqueur)
  • 2 dashes of old-fashioned bitters or Angostura bitters
  • 2 dashes of orange bitters
  • 3 brandied cherries skewered on a pick, for garnish
  • 1 orange twist, flamed, for garnish

How to make this recipe

  1. Fill a pint glass with ice. Add the rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, ruby port, amaro and old-fashioned and orange bitters and stir well. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with the flamed orange twist and skewered cherries.
