Bartender Jacques Bezuidenhout invented this drink as a way to feature oaky añejo tequila. Cherry Heering, a Danish liqueur made with cherry brandy, balances the woody flavor.

2 ounces añejo tequila
1/2 ounce sweet vermouth
1/2 ounce Cherry Heering or cherry liqueur
3 brandied cherries, skewered on a pick
How to Make It
Fill a pint glass with ice. Add the tequila, vermouth and Cherry Heering. Stir well and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with the skewered cherries.
