Mark's Sidecar

  • SERVINGS: Makes 1 drink

"This sidecar is the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti of cocktails," says Mark Mendoza of L.A.'s Sona.

  1. Sugar
  2. 2 ounces cognac
  3. 3/4 ounce lemon juice
  4. 1/2 ounce maraschino liqueur
  5. 1/2 ounce Angostura bitters
  1. Moisten the rim of a martini glass and dip it in the sugar. Fill a shaker with ice. Add all of the ingredients; shake well. Strain into the glass and serve.
