Margarita

  • SERVINGS: Makes 1 Drink

According to master mixologist Dale DeGroff, a drink called the Tequila Daisy was served at Tijuana’s Agua Caliente racetrack in the 1920s. It was made with lemon juice, tequila and a sweet ingredient—the template for a Margarita.

  1. Ice
  2. 1 1/2 ounces blanco tequila
  3. 1 ounce Cointreau or other triple sec
  4. 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the tequila, Cointreau and fresh lime juice and shake well. Strain the drink into a chilled coupe.
