- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 4 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 4 ripe mangoes, peeled, seeded, and cut into large chunks
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
How to make this recipe
- In a small saucepan, stir together the sugar and water and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and let cool completely.
- In a blender, combine the simple syrup, lime juice, mango and salt. Place the mixture in an ice cream maker and process until frozen. Place in the freezer for at least two hours before serving.
The simple syrup can be made up to one week in advance and refrigerated. Sorbet can be made up to one week in advance and frozen in an airtight container.
