I always try a new "adult mac" recipe for Thanksgiving because I've never found the perfect one... but now I have! This stayed creamy and delicious after baking, and the worchestershire and mustard add a perfect depth of flavor. I substituted Fontina, Gruyere, Sharp Cheddar, and a little Parmesan and Blue for the cheeses, and it turned out perfect.

This dish never fails to please!  Irresistible and delicious.  I've made this no less than 25 times since seeing it in the March 2000 issue.  I've also had great success modifying the recipe to make it gluten-free.  I use brown rice pasta, gluten-free flour and about 1/3 tsp. xanthum gum and it is just as delicious as the original recipe!
