Lord Bullingdon's Revenge
Mike Ryan created this drink after reading William Thackeray's The Luck of Barry Lyndon and watching Stanley Kubrick's film version of the novel. In the story, the character Lord Bullingdon wounds Lyndon in the leg in a duel. "The Scotch echoes the smoke from the old-style pistols they used," says Ryan. "Chartreuse represents the medicinal herbs used in the poultice for Lyndon's leg."
