Mixologist Audrey Saunders uses the Italian artichoke liqueur Cynar to accent the vermouth in this tribute to the famous Manhattan neighborhood Little Italy.

  1. Ice
  2. 2 ounces rye
  3. 1/2 ounce Cynar (artichoke liqueur)
  4. 3/4 ounce sweetvermouth
  5. 2 maraschino cherries, skewered on a pick
  1. Fill a pint glass with ice. Add the rye, Cynar and vermouth and stir vigorously. Strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with the skewered cherries.
