Flatiron Lounge co-owner Julie Reiner thought up this drink during a cruise after her first taste of orange-spiced Ramazzotti amaro in Sicily.

  1. 2 strawberry slices
  2. 1/2 ounce Simple Syrup
  3. Ice
  4. 2 ounces blanco tequila
  5. 1 ounce amaro (bittersweet Italian liqueur)
  6. 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  7. 1 1/2 ounces chilled rosé Champagne
  8. 1 edible pansy (optional)
  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the strawberry slices with the Simple Syrup. Add ice and the tequila, amaro and lemon juice and shake well. Strain into a white wine glass, top with the Champagne and garnish with the pansy.
