La Real

  • SERVINGS: makes 8 drinks
  • MAKE-AHEAD

Solstice Restaurant & Lounge, San Francisco

The "La" in this drink's name references La Pinta pomegranate tequila; the "Real," which means "royal" in Spanish, refers to the sparkling wine in the blend (as in a Kir Royale). You can substitute the more available Pama liqueur when La Pinta isn't available.

Plus: Ultimate Cocktail Guide

  1. 8 ounces silver tequila
  2. 8 ounces pomegranate liqueur
  3. 24 ounces chilled brut sparkling wine
  4. 8 thin orange twists
  5. 4 ounces Cointreau or other triple sec
  1. In a pitcher, combine the tequila, pomegranate liqueur and Cointreau. Cover and refrigerate until chilled. Stir and pour into 8 chilled flutes. Pour 3 ounces sparkling wine into each drink and garnish with a twist.
