Mona's Spanish and Portuguese tapas and twice-weekly live bossa nova are complemented by cocktails like this one, based on a drink once served at La Florida, a famous Havana bar of the 1930s.

  1. Ice
  2. 1 1/2 ounces light rum
  3. 1 1/2ounces sweet vermouth
  4. 1/2 teaspoon white crème de cacao
  5. 1 1/2 ounces fresh lime juice
  6. 1/2 teaspoon grenadine
  7. 1 pineapple spear
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the ingredients except the pineapple spear and shake well. Strain into an ice-filled highball glass and garnish with the pineapple spear.
