This New Orleans–inspired bourbon cocktail is bold and slightly bitter.

  1. 3 strawberries, sliced
  2. 1 large egg
  3. 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  4. 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
  5. 2 ounces bourbon
  6. 1/2 ounce green Chartreuse
  7. Ice
  8. Dash of rhubarb bitters
  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the strawberries with the egg, lime juice and sugar. Add the bourbon and Chartreuse and shake vigorously, until frothy. Add ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a martini glass and top with a dash of rhubarb bitters.
