The strawberry-rhubarb mixture in this cocktail pays homage to mixologist Todd Thrasher's grandmother, Alice Thrasher, who taught him how to pick the best rhubarb for her famous strawberry-rhubarb pie.

Ice
1 ounce tequila
1/2 ounce Cointreau or other triple sec
3 ounces Strawberry-Rhubarb Syrup
3 drops of balsamic vinegar
1 ounce chilled Sprite

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the Sprite and shake well. Strain the drink into an ice-filled highball glass and stir in the Sprite.
