Sherry, which originated in the Jerez region of Spain, is the soul of this warm drink, which Isabel González serves after dinner. A shot of heavy cream would make the recipe even more appealing.

1/4 cup hot brewed espresso (2 ounces)
2 tablespoons cream sherry (1 ounce)

In a heatproof glass, combine the espresso and sherry and serve.
