For this variation on the Vesper from Ian Fleming’s first James Bond novel, Casino Royale bar manager "Martini Bob" Perry adds a Wisconsin touch: blue-cheese-stuffed olives.

I love olives in a vodka martini, but the undertone of citrus in the Lillet requires a garnish of nothing more than lemon peel, or a thin slice of lemon.  To add olive and blue cheese to this drink is like adding lots of catsup to a potato truffle gratin.  Great separate, a mistake together.
