Ivresse Brune
- SERVINGS: Makes 1 drink
"This is definitely an autumn drink," says Romée de Goriainoff. "The maple syrup gives it a caramelized, almost burnt aftertaste," and rinsing the glass with a peaty Islay Scotch, such as Laphroaig, adds a smoky note.
- 1 teaspoon single-malt Scotch, preferably Islay
- Ice
- 1 2/3 ounces Cognac
- 2/3 ounce Simple Syrup
- 2/3 ounce pure maple syrup
- 1/2 ounce fresh orange juice
- 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
- Dash of Angostura bitters
- Rinse a chilled coupe with the Scotch. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients and shake well. Strain into the prepared coupe.
