  1. 1 teaspoon single-malt Scotch, preferably Islay
  2. Ice
  3. 1 2/3 ounces Cognac
  4. 2/3 ounce Simple Syrup
  5. 2/3 ounce pure maple syrup
  6. 1/2 ounce fresh orange juice
  7. 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
  8. Dash of Angostura bitters
  1. Rinse a chilled coupe with the Scotch. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients and shake well. Strain into the prepared coupe.
