- SERVINGS: makes 1 drink
The name "flip" traditionally refers to cocktails made with eggs. These drinks fell out of fashion decades ago, but mixologist Todd Thrasher is working to bring them back. His rich, eggnog-like Irish Flip is on PX's winter menu.
- 1 1/2 ounces Irish whiskey
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar
- 1 ounce half-and-half
- Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg, for garnish
- In a cocktail shaker, combine all of the ingredients except ice and the nutmeg and shake well. Add ice and shake again. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with the grated nutmeg.
