“The seasoned bartender knows that when you create a drink you’re really just borrowing from another cocktail recipe,” says Derek Brown. “The fact is, we create very little, adding an ingredient here or deleting one there. The Income Tax Cocktail is virtually identical to the Bronx in all ways but one: the addition of aromatic bitters. But what a difference it makes.”

1 1/2 ounces London dry gin
1/2 ounce sweet vermouth
1/2 ounce dry vermouth
1 ounce fresh orange juice
Dash of Fee Brothers Old Fashion aromatic bitters
How to Make It
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients and shake well. Strain into a chilled coupe.
