The inspiration behind this lively cocktail is Picon Bière, a mixture of pilsner and Amer Picon (an orange-flavored bitter) that's poured in French cafés. Jamie Boudreau replaces the traditional French bitter with spicy Italian Montenegro amaro.

  1. Ice
  2. 1 1/2 ounces Montenegro amaro
  3. 6 ounces chilled lager
  4. 1 orange twist, for garnish
  1. Fill a collins glass with ice. Add the amaro and lager and stir gently. Garnish with the orange twist.
