London dry gin and Pimm's No. 1 (a gin-based English aperitif) provide the foundation for this cocktail. The guava and other juices give it a tiki-esque feel, says Angus Winchester.

  1. 1 teaspoon Simple Syrup
  2. 1/2 ounce Pimm's No. 1
  3. 1 1/2 ounces gin, preferably London dry
  4. Ice
  5. 1 ounce guava juice
  6. 1 or 2 guava slices, for garnish
  7. 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
  8. 1 ounce unfiltered apple juice
  9. 4 mint leaves, plus 1 mint sprig, smacked, for garnish
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the mint sprig and guava slices and shake well. Strain the drink into an ice-filled collins or highball glass and garnish with the mint sprig and guava slices.
