Ginger Tea with Spices

  1. One 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  2. One 1/2-inch piece of Chinese cinnamon stick
  3. 4 cardamom pods, smashed open to release seeds
  4. 5 whole cloves
  5. 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
  6. Honey or sugar
  1. Put the spices in a teapot. Add 4 cups of boiling water and let steep for 5 minutes.
  2. Strain into cups; sweeten.
