Ingredients

  • One 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • One 1/2-inch piece of Chinese cinnamon stick
  • 4 cardamom pods, smashed open to release seeds
  • 5 whole cloves
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
  • Honey or sugar

How to make this recipe

  1. Put the spices in a teapot. Add 4 cups of boiling water and let steep for 5 minutes.
  2. Strain into cups; sweeten.
