Ginger-Bourbon Creek Tea

This refreshing sweet-tart cocktail is Nick Kokonas's more sophisticated spin on bourbon with lemonade. Fresh lemon juice and a hit of orange bitters make this summer favorite infinitely better.

Ingredients

  1. 6 ounces bourbon or whiskey
  2. 4 ounces water
  3. 3 ounces fresh lemon juice
  4. 2 ounces ginger liqueur, such as Domaine de Canton
  5. 2 ounces Simple Syrup
  6. 6 dashes of orange bitters
  7. Ice
  8. Lemon wheels, for garnish
  1. In a large pitcher, combine all of the ingredients except the ice and lemon wheels and stir well. Pour into ice-filled rocks glasses and stir again. Garnish with lemon wheels and serve.
