Fortunate Plum

Mixologist Tommy Klus combines two types of brandy for this drink: the South American grape-based pisco and Clear Creek plum brandy, a domestic brandy made with Oregon blue plums.

  • 1 ounce plum brandy
  • 1 ounce pisco, preferably Chilean
  • 3/4 ounce Cocchi Americano (fortified, slightly bitter aperitif wine)
  • 1/4 ounce yellow Chartreuse (spicy herbal liqueur)
  • Ice
  • 1 lemon twist
  • 1 thyme sprig, for garnish

How to make this recipe

  1. In a mixing glass, combine the plum brandy, pisco, Cocchi Americano and Chartreuse; fill with ice and stir well, then strain into a chilled coupe. Pinch the lemon twist over the drink and discard. Garnish with the thyme sprig.
