After getting hooked on the Last Word, Joaquín Simó’s friend Phil Ward (of NYC’s Mayahuel) tried replacing the gin with Rittenhouse 100-proof rye. “It’s a whiskey sour for people who crave complexity,” says Simó.

  1. Ice
  2. 3/4 ounce bonded rye whiskey
  3. 3/4 ounce green Chartreuse
  4. 3/4 ounce maraschino liqueur
  5. 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients and shake well. Strain into a chilled coupe.
