Ewing No. 33

Dylan Black doesn't invent many cocktails for his Cambridge restaurant, but he decided that basketball great Patrick Ewing, who grew up within blocks of Green Street, deserved one. Black uses Jamaican rum to honor Ewing's island birthplace, Kingston.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 ounce pastis
  • Ice
  • 2 ounces amber rum
  • 1/2 ounce Fernet-Branca (bitter Italian digestif)
  • 1/4 ounce Spiced Brown Sugar Syrup
  • Dash of Angostura bitters
  • 1 lime wedge

How to make this recipe

  1. Rinse a chilled coupe with the pastis, then pour it out. Fill a pint glass with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the lime wedge and stir well. Strain into the prepared coupe and garnish with the lime wedge.
