The White Heart • Portland, ME

This downtown Portland cocktail lounge, which is popular with students from the nearby Maine College of Art, features local art, DJs and live bands.

Plus: mezcal

  • 1/2 ounce grenadine, preferably homemade
    1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the mezcal and passion fruit nectar and shake well. Strain the drink into an ice-filled highball glass, stir in the chilled ginger beer and drizzle the grenadine on top; it will sink to the bottom.
