Don Gorgon

When mixologist Richard Boccato received a bottle of aged Cabana Cachaça to experiment with, he fell in love with "its almost Cognac-like characteristics." He combined it with Aperol, a bitter orange Italian liqueur, and came up with this great cool-weather cocktail.

  • Ice
  • 1 1/2 ounces aged Cachaça
  • 1/2 ounce Aperol
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce Rich Simple Syrup
  • 1 ounce chilled club soda
  • 1 cinnamon stick and 1 lime wedge, for garnish

How to make this recipe

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the cachaça, Aperol, lime juice and Rich Simple Syrup; shake well. Strain into an ice-filled collins glass, stir in the club soda and garnish with the cinnamon and lime.
