Desert Healer

  • SERVINGS: Makes 1 drink

This drink was inspired by the classic Blood and Sand, but it's drier (thanks to dry vermouth) and more refreshing (it's got three kinds of citrus juice).

  1. Ice
  2. 1 2/3 ounces blended Scotch
  3. 1/3 ounce dry vermouth
  4. 1 teaspoon kirsch
  5. 3/4 ounce fresh clementine juice or orange juice
  6. 2/3 ounce Simple Syrup
  7. 1/2 ounce fresh grapefruit juice
  8. 1/3 ounce fresh lemon juice
  9. 1 lemon twist, plus 1 lemon twist for garnish
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the twists. Pinch 1 lemon twist over the shaker, drop it in and shake well. Strain the drink into a chilled coupe and garnish with the remaining lemon twist.
