Bartender Chris Hannah and Cocktaildb.com guru Ted Haigh were bemoaning how few drinks are made with the saffron-colored herbal liqueur Strega ("witch" in Italian), so Hannah created one.

  1. 1 strawberry, plus 1 strawberry slice
  2. Ice
  3. 1 1/2 ounces Strega (herbal liqueur)
  4. 1 1/2 ounces tawny Port
  5. 4 dashes of Peychaud's Bitters
  1. In a pint glass, muddle the strawberry. Add ice and the Strega, port and bitters; stir well. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with the strawberry slice.
