Corpse Reviver No. 2

  • SERVINGS: Makes 1 Drink

“I have an affinity for equal-part cocktails,” says John deBary. “Something about the symmetry of the proportions appeals to me.” There are a number of Corpse Reviver variations, but this one, from Harry Craddock’s 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book, is considered the classic.

  1. 1/4 ounce absinthe
  2. Ice
  3. 3/4 ounce London dry gin
  4. 3/4 ounce Lillet blanc
  5. 3/4 ounce triple sec
  6. 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  1. Rinse a chilled coupe with the absinthe and pour out the excess. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the gin, Lillet blanc, triple sec and lemon juice and shake well. Strain into the prepared glass.
