This vibrant purple cocktail—made with Concord grapes, gin, port and lemon—is frothy, fruity and refreshing.

  1. 5 Concord grapes
  2. 2 ounces Concord grape juice
  3. 1 1/2 ounces gin
  4. 1 ounce port
  5. 1/2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  6. 1 large egg white
  7. 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
  8. Ice
  9. Cold soda water
  10. 1 lemon twist, for garnish
  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the grapes until they've released a deep purple juice. Add the grape juice, gin, port, lemon juice, egg white and sugar and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Add ice and shake for 1 more minute. Strain into a chilled collins or cocktail glass, top with soda water and garnish with the lemon twist. Serve.
