This predinner drink is Chan's orange-infused variation on the Commodore No. 2 (bourbon, crème de cacao, lemon juice and grenadine) from the 1935 Old Waldorf-Astoria Bar Book.

  1. Ice
  2. 1 1/3 ounces bourbon
  3. 2/3 ounce white crème de cacao
  4. 2/3 ounce fresh lemon juice
  5. 2/3 ounce fresh orange juice
  6. 1/2 ounce grenadine
  7. Dash of Fee Brothers Old Fashion bitters or Angostura bitters
  8. 1 orange wedge, for garnish
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the garnish and shake well. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass and garnish with the orange wedge.
